Runco introduces the all NEW
Next Generation DHD Digital Controller—the first
digital video processor to incorporate ViVix II™
digital video processing technology. ViVix II
enhances digital and even analog signals to near
high definition quality, matching output
resolution, sync types and output formats to
prevent “double scaling,” which can cause
distortion. Runco’s technology optimizes signal
reproduction for Anamorphic, Letterbox and 4:3
aspect ratios, and and its VirtualWide™ feature
converts 4:3 images for maximum performance on
16:9 screens without losing any image integrity.
The DHD Digital Controller also features
Orthogonal Line Correction to adjust for
unwanted time-elapsed field artifacts, plus 3:2
and 2:2 pull-down for maximum quality playback
from film-originated programming.
The DHD Digital Controller exemplifies
connectivity using eight discrete-switching
inputs to accept both digital and analog
sources, and an RS-232 interface for control via
home automation systems. It also outputs three
12V DC trigger signals to activate third party
components like motorized screen lifts and
drapes. The DHD Digital Controller’s slim design
and comprehensive processing power brings new
simplicity to installation of each projector
package in which it’s included. Its compact
chassis measures just 3-3/4 inches high, weighs
13 pounds, and is easily rack-mounted with
supplied brackets.
